Hmmm am I missing something here...
IMO all tracks in an album should have the same year, don't they?
If it's a compilation of trakcs (like a best of) then the ORIGINAL year would change for each track,
but not the RELEASE year of the particular file you're listening to?
Anyway, guess it won't hurt if you implement an average of all years for the album mask... won't make a difference for me
Rating would definitely be cool.
Thanks Trixmoto, you rule man!

Yes, if your tags are correct then all tracks in the album with have the same year, but the year value is actually stored in each track, so it's possible for them to be different.

New version (2.3) is now here! I have corrected the time display and added <Year> to the album mask. I have also added <Rating> and <Stars> to the album and track masks. Rating is a number 0-5 and stars is a number of stars (up to *****).

I've noticed one minor oddity with this script, when using <length> I find that it prints the album / track length like: 47:9 or 32:1 or 3:1 0:8 when rather than 47:09, 32:01, 0:08trixmoto wrote:New version (2.3) is now here! Ok, this has been fixed so will appear correctly in the next version.
For those who can't wait, open AdvancedReport.vbs in notepad (or similar) and scroll to the very bottom. The last function is "gettime" and should be replaced with:

I just wanted to say that I love this script...great work!
I was looking for something like this for a long time.
One question though..in regards to the album covers the sizing doesnt appear to work right on some of them. What I mean is that I expect them to all be the same size, but it appears they are keeping the aspect ratio setting while shrinking down. Some are shorter than others..
I still love it and will use it for all reporting.
Thanks

Yes, the aspect ratio is kept. Would you prefer them to be autosized even though is might distort them? Or are you looking for them to be cropped in some way?

@Trixmoto
You could allow to resize on height and let the aspect ratio determine the width automatically. Some people might prefer same widths, some same heights.

Observation.
The Report picks up the Unknown Artist & Unknown Album (node?) and displays them - even though I have none in the Library.
The Artists total and the Album total at the top of the page are subsequently showing one more than are actually in the Library.
The report is adding the (zero) unknown entry as 1.

Yes, it was requested that these were included. Are you saying that they should only be included if there are unknown artists/albums?

I currently have 435 Albums in the Library.
But the Advanced Report tells me that I have 436 Albums in the Library - this is because it's including the (non - existant) Unknown Album.
It would be better if the totals at the top of the page were referenced something like this:
Albums_______________ 435
Unknown Albums_______ 0
Same principal with the Unknown Artists.
Do you see what I mean?

I personally would like to have it without the ratio. I dont think the pictures will be very distorted since they are small enough...that is unless you have an image that is 10X taller than it is wide. All the taggers and ablume covers that are downloaded are similar in size and almost always square so I think it would look fine.trixmoto wrote:Yes, the aspect ratio is kept. The way it is now the sizes vary and it looks a bit sloppy on the page if you ask me.
Its still great overall and I really like it.
In regards to the unknown album and artists issue. I also have that show up even though I dont have any unknown albums or artists. I assumed it should only show up if you have unknown artists or albums. Is that not the case?
This script will be reworked with an options screen as there are now so many variables.
There will be three image modes: Fixed width, Fixed height and Fixed both.
Unknown artists/albums will only appear if they exist, and will not be included in the summary.
