MM/Mac-OSX - Addons dir has 2

Post by KyleHx »

It looks like markstuartwalker has 1 rather than 2 plugins for Mac OSX under Addons.
The one under Custom Library Views appears to have been replaced by the one under Devices.
(I think the Custom Library Views entry should be deleted.)
I'm getting too many hits in searches for Add-On support.

Am I right that there's only one now? (devices\iTunes...)

addons\appearance\custom-library-views\
MediaMonkey on Mac OSX 4.0.0.1459
MediaMonkey packaged as a Wineskin application that can run natively on Mac OSX. Perfect for playing music on your Mac and editing ID3 tags. At last you are free of having to use iTunes and the full power of MediaMonkey is available to Mac users. Uses the MAD Plugin for sound reproduction. Note 1:USB devices will not be seen by MM. Note 2:Some addons may not work reliably with this approach

and it fails

addons\devices
iTunes MediaMonkey Plugin 4.1.0.3236
Treats iTunes as an audio device from MediaMonkey. Synchronises tracks, playlists, playcounts and ID3tag information from MM to iTunes. Useful if you need to sync to an Apple Device that MM does not support or to use Apple's Remote for iTunes.

No. These are different addons, the first is to run MediaMonkey on a Mac via wine.

The second is a plugin for "portable device sync" that actually doesn't sync to a portable device but syncs MediaMonkey with iTunes.

They serve different purposes and one certainly can't replace the other.

Thanks - should have gotten that, I suppose.
I only use Windows, but just started exploring options for my sister, who only uses Mac.

It is still true, what I said before:
addons\appearance\custom-library-views\
download link is https://www.mediafire.com/?treud0n7ebqt3
and it fails

So, can we maybe track that down?

He posted that he has moved away from MM, see here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 40#p387840

So we probably won't have much luck with finding that

I hope nobody is put off by my posts .. some serious user error there.
The file IS available, as in:
>>> http://www.mediafire.com/download/bzil7 ... 0.1459.zip
>>> http://www.mediafire.com/download/ma87q ... -logo.icns
also:
>>> http://www.mediafire.com/download/9aerf ... t/ie60.exe
>>> http://www.mediafire.com/download/fide2 ... 0.1426.zip
It is still unsupported (abandoned by the developer), but I'm going to give it a go anyway!
