How to define Startup Screen ... "Now Playing"

How to define Startup Screen ... "Now Playing"
Galaxy 3, MMA ver: beta 100
I would really like to have the "Now playing" screen be the startup screen when I start MMA. I *normally* use MM and MMA in Random/Shuffle mode so just bring up the screen, let me press Play and have at it.
Is there a way to do this that I haven't found yet?

If something is playing/paused there should be a small player at the bottom if you're not in Now Playing.

Re: How to define Startup Screen ... "Now Playing"
Yep .. thanks for that.
What I am looking for is, when I start MMA to have it go to the 'Now Playing' screen instead of the screen with Artists, albums, tracks etc. I know i can go to that screen, i was looking for a way to Start in that screen.

Re: How to define Startup Screen ... "Now Playing"
What I meant is that you don't have to go to the Now Playing screen if you want to control playback if something was playing already. I'm suggesting it as a solution for the current situation. You can also can control playback through a widget.

Re: How to define Startup Screen ... "Now Playing"
I probably wasn't clear enough ... it isn't controlling playback that i am interested in but the screen that shows the large artwork. It is seeing the artwork I am intersted in .. not the controls. Don't tell Rovingcowboy but sometimes I want to see the artwork to remind me the album a specific song is on. Much easier than trying to read the album name. I'm sure RC would kill me if he thought I was trying to read album name while driving down the road

For me if I leave MMA on Now Playing screen it always starts on Now Playing screen. What scenario isn't that the case for you?

Re: How to define Startup Screen ... "Now Playing"
?? I am sure it is me not being smart enough for MMA but ... if you bring up MMA, play a song (random mode), get to the 'Now Playing' screen with the large cover image.
So a song is playing and you just want to get out of MMA, so you stop the song and back out of of MMA to the home screen. Next time I open MMA it is back to the 'menu' screen.
How do you exit MMA without backing out? There isn't a 'exit/close' in the MMA menu.

What "button on the phone". There are 3 buttons on the G3. The Rocker volume button, the one on the bottom and the one on the top right.
The ones on the bottom and top right simply turn off the screen. They do not turn off MMA.

The one at the bottom is the home button, not sure why it turns off the screen for you.

Re: How to define Startup Screen ... "Now Playing"
No you are right about that ... I was typing faster than thinking. The bottom button does just close out MMA, just like the back arrow will eventually.
But still the problem with the HOME button is that MMA is still running. Only that back arrow will exit MMA and stop the song in simple action. But of course it doesn't return to the 'Now Playing' screen.
It is okay .. i guess i will just live with turning off MMA first .. then HOME

Re: How to define Startup Screen ... "Now Playing"
I'd like to request kind of the same thing, although you could make it an option that the user selects as well. Basically, the user can define what the default action is if MMA is already playing music in the background and then MMA is opened via the widget or the app icon. The user can decide if he/she would like the Now Playing screen to come up first (if there's music playing), or the regular Aritsts, Albums, Tracks, etc main menu. This option is available in MixZing (what I've been using for years until I saw MMA was available), and it's nice if you back out of the player to open something else (w/o stopping the music and/or using the home key). When you come back to MMA, b/c you like to see the big album art, it automatically goes into the Now Playing.
