Hi,

Can you clarify the issue? Are you saying that it's not accessible for download from the play store on that device?

Or that it crashes or otherwise fails after installing to that device?

Thanks.

Unfortunately we do not support Android TV devices at the moment. It will be implemented in next version most probably.

Sorry about that--I missed the 'TV' in the subject--I thought you were talking about the portable or tablet version.

Are there any updates on Android TV support?

I just got a new nVidia Shield TV and tried to install Mediamonkey. In Google Play installed on the device Mediamonkey is lot listed, but I got it installed remotely via Web Browser on my Windows PC.
Unfortunately Mediamonkey is not usable on the shield. I can open the app, but not interact with it. The only thing I can use is the options menu.

Here you find a screen recording I did, while "using" mediamonkey on nVidia Shield TV:

Just to clarify... I cannot click on the search icon and I cannot use the homescreen tiles.
I just connected the nVidia shield controller to my Samsung Galaxy S7 and tried to control MMA this way and it showed the same problems. If I started to playback a song with my finger, I even could not pause it with the shield controller, although the pause icon was selected.

I guess, implementing this rules should fix the problems:

It's currently a low priority feature for MM 2.0, unless there are a ton of shield-tv users out there that are using MMA ;-)

You disregard that it is not shield-tv specific. So it concerns all users running ANY android TV device and MMA ;-)

Actually the bug mentions that this affects anyone using keyboard/remote input, ie. it is input method related, not device.

+1 to this, as I'm a Shield TV and MMA user. Excited to see this hopefully implemented in 2.0.0!

It isn't necessary. If it's on a computer server then the shield can access the music through kodi or something like this.

+1 to this. And, yes, this is really about input methods for all Android devices. It would be good to have MMA controllable via "game controllers".

FYI MMA/MMA PRO can be installed on Google/ASUS Nexus Player if you Access Play Store in PC Browser and Select Nexus Player as Device to install.

MMA is listed in Apps and can be added to Favorites (Tested on Android TV 5 and 8 Oreo)

If you do install it Please report back the findings.
