Since I've been going through repeated loss of my metadata (what I'm intersted in are the ratings, not the play counts) because of unexplained behavior of MMA (see here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 21&t=84813) I've searched for alternatives and discovered that PlayerPro was able to read and write MediaMonkey ratings from files that have just been copied (from PC in my case) and pasted (into the phone). Why can't MMA just do that simple stuff, in addition to all the cool (but buggy in my case) sync features?
Even without sync, I prefer MMA over the other apps (clean, no bling bling effects, album art cover in playlist, ...) but I DO need my ratings, so I guess I will wait before using it again and see if the rating-without-sync can be implemented in the near future.
