Hi everyone,
Here is my scenario:
I want to rate music in the android app and sync the ratings with the windows version.
Several issues/considerations/are not clear to me.
Ideally, I want a read-only usage on my audio archive (Desktop) - but I dont know weather ratings are stored in the MM-Database, in the music files or both?
I want to be able to manage the files asynchronously (copy and/or remove files from my android without using MM)
I would prefer offline-syncing (not cloud but rather detecting when the phone is connected to the home wifi and syncing rating data then)
Ideally, matching of audio files should be based on a hash of the audio content only (excluding Id3/Ape/Lyrics... Tags)
How close can I get to this using mmw and mma?!
Thank you very much!

Re: Sync Ratings betwen Desktop and Android Version
Sync between MMA and MMW (wifi or USB) and you can have Ratings (and other tag changes) synced between both. MMW writes metadata to both file and database by default. If you only want database you can change it to do so, but I'd make the files read-only to prevent any tag writing. File deletions MMA won't result in file deletions in MMW, but the other way around it can be done (need to enable it to do so).
