MM 5 bug report

Post by UweD »

Nothing works on my PC
- When installing it closes 2 instances of MM 4 which were updating their db in the background. At least I would expect a message asking if MM5 install may kill the processes of MM4.
- First run MM5 asks if it should import MM4 db. When selected YES it does import 4 albums (out of 3000) and not even one collection.
- My MM 4 db contains English, Danish, German, Hinduh, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and 20 other languages. MM 5 does only display ASCII characters (at least it looks like it can not handle UTF8 and/or none English characters)... probably this is why it cannot import the db from MM4.
- All my music (120.000 songs are on a NAS-drive). MM 5 does not play any of it (all standard .mp3) ... allthough I dont know if this is because it does not support network drives or because the db is faulty.
If you want my db file as a copy for testing please let me know what you need and I will send it to you.
All the best from Japan :D

This will be fixed in next build.

We're currently in aplha stage so we do not have everything translated to all languages as MM4.
