mp2 support in MM5

I did some preliminary testing of MM5 version 5.0.0.2201 Beta today. My collection consists of 54,000 plus recordings, mostly in mp2 format, my MM4 database is ca. 500 MB. The conversion of the MM4 database went smoothly and quite fast as well. MM5 looks great and I very much like it's search options.

The downside: it appears that there is no mp2 support in MM5 and the in_dsmp2.mmip extension which I am using with MM4 is not compatible. My test installation therefore stays silent for the time being.

Is there a way to playback mp2 files in MM5?

MP2 plugin is compatible, but its installer not. You can install it manually - just copy in_dsmp2.dll file from your MM4 Plugins folder to MM5 Plugins folder, and run MM5, it should work then.
