Set max number of tracks by artist in autoplaylist??

Post by maynard » Wed Jul 02, 2008 1:29 pm

I want to put a cap on the number of tracks by a given artist that are added to an autoplaylist. e.g. I'd like to do something like this: show at most # Tracks by Artist <= 25. As an extreme example, lets say I have 10 million Beatles songs that match the filter for an autoplaylist. I only want to add a random selection of 25 of those songs to the playlist so as to leave room for other artists.

Is this do-able?

Note: Unless I'm missing something, what I'm looking for here is not the same as the match criteria for "# Tracks by Artist". I'm looking for a show at most filter.

Thanks
Maynard

No this is not possible currently. I like the idea though.

As you mention # Tracks by Artist won't do it. If you for example set it at <=25 it will show all tracks from artist who have 25 or less songs in the library.
