Blackberry Playbook compatibility

Postby urbanglowcam » Thu Apr 21, 2011 9:53 am

MediaMonkey has been great syncing with my Blackberry over the years. They just their tablet, the PlayBook, and I discovered that I can't get it to sync with MediaMonkey. I think it would be great if MM was updated to support it as it's a great media device that several people have purchased.

I don't have this device, is it a mass-storage (i.e. with a drive letter)? Or how is it accessed?

Benne a MediaMonkey user for some time and I'm disapointed that it doesn't support Playbook. PLEASE! revise and deliver to your faithful users and promoters!!

It mounts as a network share when connected via USB. It automatically gets its own drive letter, if that helps at all.

It'd be great if we could get PB support.

Just Googled this topic and landed here. RIM has sold quite a few Playbooks at discount prices in the last month or two. The device would be greatly complimented by a decent music manager program such as MediaMonkey. I have been moving music files to the Playbook as I work in tech, but it's too cumbersome for the average user. (Something to consider.)

I just bought MediaMonkey Gold because I loved how it let me avoid using iTunes as my main media player even though I just got an iPod Touch (although it is ios 5.1 so I'm hoping MM will soon be able to natively support synching to it). I switched over from WinAmp because they don't seem interested in synching to iPods anymore, and it doesn't recognize my Playbook tablet.
My Blackberry Playbook doesn't seem to synch with MediaMonkey Gold. That feature is on my "most wanted" list!!!!

I'm a longtime MediaMonkey user, with a Gold Lifetime licence since version 2, adding his "vote" for support of RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook.

Happy to do beta- (or even alpha-) testing if it helps - 25+ years IT experience but too rusty as a programmer to make a stab at it myself.
