Output analog stereo to surround channels outputs

I have a sound card with 6-channel analog surround output. Is there any way to route the stereo output of MM to the surround channels outputs instead of the front channels? I don't see any settings for this in any of the output plugin settings. I would like to do this so I can have separate output for MM while all the other Windows playback audio outputs normally through the front channels.

This would be controlled by your sound card driver, not by MM.

I can do this inside another audio program (choose which 2 channels to output to) independent of the sound card driver so it should be possible.

MM does not have that capability. You need to configure it via your sound card drivers.

Thanks, but it is not possible to do this for my sound card drivers which is why I asked. The application would have to specifically use the surround outputs otherwise the driver would have to know each application and be configured differently for each one (to have simultaneous outputs from different programs on different channels). I guess I will have to add this to the wishlist.
