How to configure Search for Album Cover

When I open the dialog to add a cover to the album, mediaMonkey opens a folder ...\myMusik\AlbumName\.. by default.

How can I configure MediaMonkey to start in a different folder, e.g. MyPictures\AlbumCovers\

You can't. MM is meant to always save album art to the same folder where the file you're tagging is located.

MM may store the cover files, where it wants to store them. I don't care.

However before MM can store a cover file, it must learn that a cover files exists and where it is. I save all cover files (mostly created by myself) in one folder + subdirectories in MyPictures\...\...\*.* So when I open the add a picture dialog in MM, I have to browse there file by file. Even in one session MM doesn't remember where to search for the file.

I would like to add an option to configure this to the wish list.

I'd strongly suggest you don't use your system as it is the most risky of all methods.

1) Embedding is safest as Covers are always with correct files
2) Saving in Albums folder is next safest as at least rescanning can pick up the covers
3) Saving in generic folder is very risky as it can't be automatically picked up

Usually my MM stores album covers as tags in the *.flac file.

My question is about where MM takes the jpg-file of the album cover from, before it can store it as tag.
