4 Major Issues I am Facing with MM

Dear MediaMonkey developers,

To be honest, this is my first ever thread on the internet. I don't usually do this, but since music is my passion and organizing it is one of my priorities, I thought sharing my issues and comments with you would be helpful to you and also to me.

I used to be an iTunes user, the main reason I changed is because it does not support codecs such as FLAC. Besides that, I was very happy with it but I must admit that I know prefer MM to Itunes for several reasons which is not the main purpose of this thread to talk about.

To cut to the chase, Here-below are the major Issues I'm facing with MM and that I really wish you would take into consideration to improve the program (I apologize in advance for the lenght of my post) :

1 - Now playing and Shuffle issue : From what I understood, you either need to put the tracks (from ''Music'' or a Playlist) to Now Playing in order to play the tracks
or Enable Auto-DJ. First of all, Why can't it shuffle from music rather than now playing ? Wouldn't it be easier? Second, as soon as I
hit Stop then Play it repeats the ''Now Playing'' Playlist rather than just continue shuffling. If there is a way to fix this by myself ?
please let me know.


2 - Playing only what is typed in the Search box : I rarely create playlists, back in iTunes, I used to type the genre in the search box, and Itunes would play only
what I searched for. If, for example, I type in search box ''Deep House'', it would play me only the files that It found
containing the word ''Deep House''. It would be very useful having that in MM.

3 - Disc : # of # - Track # of # : As a music collector, this is a major issue for me. When I listen to a track, I always want to to know whether it was from a Album or an
EP, is it a Disc or a Double Disc, etc... On MM, I can know what track number/disc is the track on, but we can't know the total track
number / disc (Even if the solution of that would be putting a ''/'', it would be faster to fill the ''of [#]''

4 - Name of Track/Artist in Internet radio : Not so long ago, I realized that MM does not display specific information when It comes to streaming. To be honest, I still
use iTunes for internet radio because it shows me the artist and the track name that is currently playing..I hope to see that
soon on MM.

Last but not least, I would like to thank you for this wonderful program that I am really attached to (And this is why I thought sharing my thoughts with you).

1) If you want shuffle play the Library you need to use the Auto-DJ, if you want to shuffle play selected files you'll need to add them all to the Now Playing as this represents the queue of files to be played. Then enable Play > Shuffle.

2) Just select all results and Play Now

I wasn't looking for alternatives, but the options to do so. I know how MM works, thank you. If one of the issues are ''discussed'' , they're probably not solved so there is no problem putting it up again.
To all people in this forum, please provide me with more accurate information.

1 & 2) I fail to see why this doesn't work for you. Your proposal would cause big issues as every time you switch view it would switch what is playing and when adding tabs into the mix it would be a mess. Using the Now Playing as a queue keeps the user informed as to what will be playing. I'm not aware of any option/addon to automatically start playing what is in view and you will need to use one of the Play options (which will add files to the Now Playing and start playing the files).

3) That means as per forum rules you should use the existing topic. Also per forum rules issues should be split up in individual topics so the conversation remains understandable: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=40381

4) As I'm not sure this is a known issue you should provide the stations URL.

Having read the rules, I haven't read anything regarding splitting the topics. These are the suggestions, that to me are issues, I'm having. They are clear in my first post, even in the title " 4 Major Issues"..no confusion.

Just posting what I feel is complicated in MM, compared to iTunes which is more user-friendly, and if there would be options in the future that would facilitate these complications (for example, not having to send tracks to Now Playing and instead just playing from Music), and not suggesting me alternatives that I know about.

Unfortunately no result, but at least I tried

1) You can right click Play Now, which will both start playing the songs as well as put them in the Now Playing. Not sure what the trouble with this is?
