Hey guys, I LOVE MediaMonkey. Awesome program that lets me do TONS!!!

Here is my dilemma. I have a ton of music on the PC. The wife and I share the same PC of course and we have different music preferences. We do have a common liking of certain bands, and that's all well and good. But when it comes to storage, she kills me. Rather than leave music at the root of the drive like I do, she would rather have a separate location to have a copy of certain music that she likes this way if she needs to reload her phone she can just go to one place where all of HER music is stored.

For instance, I'm a fan of metal. In the main music folder is all of the music. She will make a copy of certain music she likes and dumps it in her music folder under her portion of the drive, doubling the storage requirements for the same music.

My thought is this, if hashtag support were created for the comment section under properties of the music, she could easily do a search for all the songs she likes under that hashtag under #hername. And if we both liked the same song the comments would just show #hername and #myname so I could search for my songs as well.

Does this make sense? Thanks guys.

You can use any field including Custom fields to tag the files with information that helps you identify who of you likes it. Through Advanced Search/AutoPlaylists/Collections you can then find/separate files based on who likes it.
