tagging music

Post by cscscs »

Hello, I sort my music in simple genre folders, and then I write in the comments detailed styles like "#italo #house #deep #uplifting #techno" something like that.

So like the hotkeys for the star rating, I look for a feature for self defined tags, so I can go through my lists and with hotkey im able to attach several tags to one selected track file.

Is there a way to do this? Thank you^^

Field: OCCASION is suitable for multiple values. I use this field for the dance style.
This allows you to select in the column browser.
Separator: semicolon - not #

This wish is unfortunately not possible.

@Pavle

Hallo Pavle,

@Pavle
After further search, I found something: CustomFieldsTagger v1.0.3.0 http://www.happymonkeying.com/plugin.php?q=300108

@cscscs
CustomFieldsTagger v1.0.3.0 - That corresponds exactly to your ideas. Select files - context menu key - select

@Steegy
Only I can not embed it in a tool bar. Is there a possibility for that?

Hi,
Sorry for late reply.
What you want to archive is not possible as https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... DBMenuItem do not support dropdowns only buttons.

I wonder if it is possible to make it in MM5 as it is more open to customization, but atm for MMW I think it would be possible to create additional window in MMW and put dropdowns there along with button to save changes like Lyrics viewer and MonkeyRok did it.

Thank you all for your replies, I think the CustomFieldsTagger is the best solution - is it also possible to make hotkeys for this? This would absolute awesome!

Thank you all, clemens

NAME: CustomFieldsTagger v1.0.3
DESCRIPTION:
Helps you to quickly tag your custom fields. In the context menu of the
selected tracks
, for the fields where this is enabled you get a list with
possible values from which you can select a value to add/set (depending if
you allow multiple values for the custom field or not.) Values that are
in the selected field are checked. Values that are not yet used can be
added manually to the field, as the selection list only shows used values.

I tried the following: Hotkey is not available - Button in toolbar is also not available

I dont know how big the effort is but it would be great if such a hotkey extension of this addon were developed. Would such a feature not also be interesting for other users? I cant be the only one
