Temporary transcoded files being created for MP3's?

Post by Anubis » Fri Apr 01, 2011 4:36 pm

Hi, when I play MP3's via my Sony TV, MP3 files are being created in the temporary folder for transcoded files (\users\name\appdata\local\temp\transcoded_media_files).
These files are already MP3 and according to my conversion rules (for UPNP/DLNA) they should not need ANY transcoding.
Is it right these files area getting created and filling up my disk/cache?

First check your rules that you're not converting MP3's at a certain bitrate to a different bitrate. I'd also assume that enabling Volume Leveling would require transcoding.

I don't have any rules that are kicking in for the MP3's in question, but I probably do have volume leveling enabled.
I'll check tonight and disable if I do and let you know the outcome.

Turning off volume leveling stopped these temporary files being created. All is good.
