What happened to the File Type column?

I haven't been watching the recent builds as closely but is this a recent change? I found this to be a really useful field because I have a library with multiple file types so I would sometimes need to sort on that field to make sure I had the right files in the right directories. Is it gone for good?

The name was changed to "Extension".

Types refer now to collections, if it's well understood.
