[1463-1466] German Language File can't be downloaded [#9023]

I try the newest 4.0.3.1463. After the splashscreen I get the following Error:

Code: Select all

Language File can't be downloaded try to Download and install it manually from http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/language/
There are multiple problems:
a) The link doesn't work, it should be http://www.mediamonkey.com/addons/browse/languages/ (/browse/ & with an 's' at the end of the last word 'languages')
b) There is (actually) no download on this link for the German language, right?
c) MM4 doesn't let me choose between english and german under Tools, Options, General, Interface language

I can't reproduce (using 1463 downloaded today and testing as of writing). I switched to Afrikaans and it downloaded and worked on restart and switched to German and it worked after restart.

... I used the debug build #1463 and debugview to find out the reason. Also sent a bug report using the automatic reporting feature.

The reason is, locales are no longer looked up in C:\ProgramData\MediaMonkey\Locale but only in C:\Users\...\Appdata\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Locale. That's why MM4 does not know of their existence and tries to download them. This means you need to "temporary" move the Locale folder from the first to the second location and MM4 starts again correctly.

Btw.: I still do not unserstand why translation files are stored in C:\ProgramData but not in the installation folder (e.g. C:\Programs (x86)\Mediamonkey) as ALL, really all other programs would do. This is (sorry) .

Ok, nice to have a workaround.
But I think this is not only a problem with the german language? Will this be fixed in the official release?
