[1496] Should MM handle interruped sync?

I've noticed that when I have auto synching enabled, I often pick up my phone in the middle of it not thinking that it's still syncing (to answer a text, email, etc..). Should MM recover from this scenario, or should we expect it to hang? I can repeat it with about 100% success.
