Time Bar in Player does not work correctly

Post by pietzke »

I have some few 192 cbr mp3s, wich behave strange:

- lengh is shown correctly
- time counter in player works correctly
- file plays correctly
- but time indicator bar jumps immediately to the end
- when you pull the bar to any place while playing, the track will jump to that place and play correctly, but the bar will jump to the end again, and the time counter starts counting from 00:00 at normal speed.

It's been tested on 2.5 Beta 4 and stable 2.4 Versions.

Those tracks show same behavior on MS Media Player 10, but behave correctly on Winamp and zoom Player.

I don't really mind it, because it's only few files on my large library, but I nevertheless quickliy wanted to report on it. So, if it is of interest to you, let me know and I'll send you an example file.

Well, I just realized, that tagging those files while playing would crash down MM. After killing the process with Task-Manager and restart MM the tagging would be done. Normal behavior is shown on tagging them non-playing.

Tested on different Win XP SP2 PCs arond 2 GHz CPU and 500 MB Ram.

btw: Gratulations to the developers of that great software. I love it! Best Player ever seen. Keep on!
