I am on MM 4.1.5.1711 debug version.I have enabled smooth pause/seek/stop under WASAPI settings, but the music still starts and stops abruptly, at least compared to what I expect to be smooth. I am using exclusive mode, Realtek Digital Output (optical output to Yamaha circa 2000 receiver).
The sound quality under WASAPI is surprisingly better compared to DS. I did not expect it to be that better.
WASAPI start/stop not smooth

Re: WASAPI start/stop not smooth
In Exclusive mode it could be possible that Volume is not controlled at all but rather just sent to putput,

Re: WASAPI start/stop not smooth
Hi Peke, it is not smooth even in non-exclusive mode. It is not a big deal though if you cannot reproduce it.

Re: WASAPI start/stop not smooth
If you want I will start a separate thread for this second problem:
If I edit and commit any song property (for example to comments section), a glitch in WASAPI audio output follows several seconds later. I am able to consistently reproduce it. The glitch sound is consistently the same My computer is not overloaded. CPU load is about 15 to 20%, memory is about 50% used, disk activity is very low (< 100kb/sec).
Enabling/disabling equalizer too causes glitch but not consistently, only about 50% of the time.
