Flash Drive Sync Single Genre/Artist

I'm trying to sync music to a flash drive for use with a car radio. Due to the car's limitations, I have selected the "Use only first Genre when multiple Genres exist" and "Use only the first value when multiple Artists/Composers exist". However, neither of these options are actually working. The music syncs to the drive successfully, however all multiple values for those three fields remain multiple values, resulting in single strings of "Electronic; Dance; Rock"... I've tried other flash drives, reformatting the flash drives, and even completely purging MM and reinstalling with fresh database, but it still syncs as if those two options are not selected.
