Odd bug with smart playlists and dates

Post by frankenpod »

Strange little glitch. I try to have playlists for podcasts with a 'transmission' date within a given month. So have a 2017-01 playlist, 2017-02, etc, upt to 2017-12.
Using the smart list 'date' 'is between' criteria. So, is within 01/10/2107 and 01/11/2017, for example.

Puzzling thing is that YYYY-10 (i.e. October of any month) always comes out empty. Instead all October's podcasts end up in the November playlist. As if it thinks N/10/YYYY is in fact between 1/11/YYYY and 1/12/YYYY.

Problem only occurs for October, no other month.

Have resorted to just having a Oct-Nov playlist and combining both months. Not a big deal, but it's a strange kind of bug.

(all dates in DD/MM/YYYY format, in case threre's confusion)

Which version of MediaMonkey? What are the exact Criteria in use?

Also check Any or All setting.

version 4.1.17.1840

Advanced smart playlist option

search podcasts

Match All criteria

date is between 01/11/2016 01/12/2016
playlist is mainpodcastsynclist (which is just a playlist of all podcasts)

gives me a playlist of all podcasts with dates between 01/10/2016 and 01/12/2016. I don't get why it includes October dated podcasts, given the search criteria.

Same thing seems to happen with 2017 (though don't have any dated November yet in that instance)

Indeed, just doing an advanced search for podcasts between 01/11/2014 and 01/12/2014 (no other criteria) returns podcasts with dates of October 2014 as well as November.
