How does the "press area" image work?

Post by magicalpig »

I've come across this type of image in several skins. I guess they're used to set a wider press area that just the icon but how do you set it up?

Thanks,
Victor.

Its used to set the clickable area for a button.

Black areas will be visible and clickable
White areas will be visible but not clickable
Transperent areas will be neither visible nor clickable

EDIT: This property makes it possible to have buttons that are truly round, so that if you have a round button it is actually only clickable inside the button rather than the whole square/rectangle area that defines the button. Of course, it doesn't have to be round, you could make an any-shaped button and have only the inside of that button area be clicked as well. This also makes it possible to do other special things with buttons, like have one button completely surrounding another one.

EDIT2: If you don't define the area (BitmapFocused), then the button will default to being clickable in the entire area.
