Want: iMonkey Skin, but with vitreous min-player area.

I would like to be using the iMonkey skin overall, but i hate the mini-player portion that comes with it.
I actually really prefer the vitreous version of the mini-player.
I've never done skins before, not for anything.
I am more of a painter. Good at math. Know how to use computers well. But these things are difficult for me to figure out.
I'm sure it must be rather simple, but i just don't know what files determine what.
I'm too old to fiddle for no good reason.

So if anyone can give me an explanation of how to do this, it would be a great start.
And i would learn something too.

i mean, i used to have ituned, but i don't ever remember seeing a big black rectangular box at the bottom; do you?
