MM3 Gold available for buying

Post by The Ki »

Hi Guys,

Just wondering when MM3 Gold should be available for buying. I can't wait to buy it and don't want to pay a license for the MM 2.5.5 for now.

Lifetime license

Post by rayulla »

I bought the Lifetime updates licsense from MusicMatch & look what happened: They sold out to Yahoo Music, and although they are honoring the MuMtch license. The program is so bad that I gave up on it [Yahoo].
In essence I lost my money. Caution is advised.

But MusicMatch was never all that great to begin with... and in my opinion, they had some shady practices for a long time... I used it for a while and had purchased a few of their "unlimited upgrade" keys/subscriptions or whatever you wanna call it for versions 2, 3 and 4. All became worthless when the newer versions (I think around the time of v5 and 6) were released. Not to mention that MMJB downloaded and installed so much cr_p, it was extremely bloated and a huge resource hog, plus (at least for me) crashed constantly.

Bottom line, I have not seen a mediaplayer that is worse than MMJB.

Possibly but I guess for many of us here have already got our moneys worth from our lifetime licenses and possibly some of those that can might buy another license when 3.0 comes out to give the devs some extra money.

Personally I don't tend to think of lifetime licenses as for the lifetime of the product but more as the lifetime that I use the product. i.e great I get updates while I am still using it but if I then abandon it for something else (Songbird, Amarok, iTunes) and then come back hey its a bonus to be able to get the latest version BUT I would likely buy it again at that point.

I guess thats just me though :)
