Unskinned graphical glitch

Post by rusty »

tooscarytootry,

hmm... can't reproduce this no matter what.
-If you do a fresh install (having uninstalled beforehand), does it occur?
-Are there specific steps to get this to occur?
-Do you think it's related to multi-monitor?

Thx.

Hi,

This is on a fresh install under xp sp2 with dual monitors. I don't know if its multimon caused but I'll disable one and try it.

It always pops up like this when I start MM.. doesn't go away, and resizes properly.

I think it may be related to a funky background process? I get a warning that there is a bg process when I am in skinned mode (even tho there is no status bar showing what it should be). Is there a way to check for bg processes?

Rusty, you might have to try on a machine without the
C:\Sources\MediaMonkeyRelease\MP3Datab\Graphics.pas
folder?

I keep getting errors due to not having this file in RC1

Errors re. graphics.pas

DiddeLeeDoo,

I'm not quite sure I understand--are you reporting a new bug? or does this somehow relate to the previous bug in which there's a grey area at the bottom of the MM window?

rusty,

After rebooting I cannot replicate the error. I'm not sure what it was.

thanks

I had this error too, right after installing the RC1 over the last beta. But when i restarted MM the error didn't occur again. No multi-monitor-setup here.

I'm just a novice here toscaredtotry, but I notice that if you load MM using the non-skinned exe. the bottom of the screen looks very much like your image. Perhaps that's what you did.

I can confirm this appearance in RC1 and previous.
But in all instances this is because I select unskinned, overwrite with windows theme option

Unskinned mode artifact

Thx for the clarification. You're right--this happens upon switching from skinned --> unskinned mode (though the problem goes away after the initial switch).

Added to the to do list.
