Sorry, I thought I'd fixed this. I can't replicate it myself but it occurs when the database transactions are called too quickly - if you process less tracks at once it shouldn't occur. I'll try to get it sorted in the next version though.

Thanks, but from my experience it doesn't seem to be related to the number of tracks being processed. In fact when I was trapping the error to comment on it here, I was running your script with only two tracks displayed.

All the best ...

Hi Trix,

thanks for the new version.
I just gave it a quick try and started the report on about 200 files.
Then I got an error in line 1161:
Invalid procedure call or invalid argument: left

I had a short look in the script, but I couldn't figure out what's wrong :(

Tried with 50 files and 6000 files - same problem.

Trixmoto:

If I enter "KEEP (Original)" in my designated custom field, will the script ignore this track as a duplicate when I run the script again??

If you enter "KEEP" then it should be ignored, yes.

Still getting Commit errors

Postby trav3l3r » Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:08 am

I must be doing something wrong. I upgraded to the latest version of Dup Report (03/16/2008), I even checked the header of the code to make sure I had the right version. I am running MM3.

I still get the Commit error when trying to delete dupes. The exact error is

Error #-2147418113 - SongsDB.SDBTools
Error Executing SQL statement COMMIT: SQL logic error or missing database (1,1)
File: C:\program files\MediaMonkey3\Scripts\DuplicateReport.vbs, Line: 977, Column:8

I did verify that my database is in the default location for an XP machine (and yes, I am running XP).

I appreciate any help

Thanks
Phil

I've not seen this error before but I'll investigate and try to get it resolved in the next version.

Anything I can do to help? Do you need any further configuration info, copy of database, etc?

Thanks

I assume it's the same error as trav3l3r? It is on my list of things to fix! :)

New version (2.3) is now available to download from my website. Changes include...

- Fixed "starting a transation while some query is open" errors
- Fixed "error Executing SQL statement COMMIT: SQL logic error or missing database" errors
- Fixed "invalid procedure call or invalid argument: left" errors
- Fixed delete from library but not from computer option
- Added extra fields in merge option for MM3

I couldn't replicate all of these, but I've taken steps to ensure that they shouldn't occur anymore. :)
