SHOUTcast plug in with MM?

Postby deepprpl » Sat Apr 19, 2008 8:42 pm

Team,

I'm new to MM. I *love* the program. I'd like to use it and completely quit using winamp. However there is one program which is important to me and I can't get it to install with MM. That program is the SHOUTcast DSP plugin. I am an internet DJ so I have to use winamp/SHOUTcast plug in unless (until) I can get the plugin to install and start within MM. The SHOUTcast plug installer won't let you install in any folder other than C:\Program Files\winamp. I need to figure out some way to get the DSP in the MM Plugins folder. Maybe there are *.dll (*.ini ??) files I could move over after installing in winamp?

Any ideas?

Have you tried just copying the relavent files from Winamp\plugins to MediaMonkey\plugins?

Can you give me the list of Plugins and Utils You use so that I can look at them. I know that I have talked with people at http://www.siradio.fm/ what they use and that I have made it work with MM. Only problem that I have observed is that MediaMonkey Unicode Track names were not sent correctly sometimes. Maybe I could look at it again.

Also I have got the Server Stream to test with :( I have only 192kbits UL link

Just tested and it Works Flawlessly (Including Install).
I only noticed that it do not get Unicode Characters :( But that is almost any DSP plugin which use old Winamp MSGs instead of Unicode one.

If you need help in configuring Give me a note.

Edit: I tested both winamp and standalone on MM 3.0.3.1162

Doesn't look like the original poster is comeing back !

Peke, As you're looking at it.
One problem I've noticed with the Oddcast Plugin is that on a Windows XP64 system with MM2 any input plugin settings other than 16 bit do not work correctly. 24bit produces two totally maxed channels and 32bit a totally maxed left channel. I always assumed that this was a problem with Oddcast, but I've never tried it in WinAmp. On a i386 system everything is okay.

Have no x64 OS to test with, but after further testing I like standalone even more due to fact that all my DJ plugins work perfectly I even Connected a MIC from My mixer so that I can Chit Chat while broadcasting.

EDIT: Finally the one that worked OUT of The Box.
