List always jumps back do "library" root tree

Postby Alex » Sun Feb 20, 2005 8:03 am

Hi!

Strange behaviour:

If I don't click or scroll the mouse or hit a key for 3 or 4 seconds, the View in the database list always jumps back to the root of the Music Explorer tree, which is "Library".

For example: I browse my list of MP3s in the "Year"-view and stop scrolling, after 3 seconds the screen returns to the "Library" folder, turning my list blank (of course no files in there, only in the categories).
This also happens in other folders/categories, even if I am browsing my Playlist. it minimizes the "Playlist" tree and returns to "Library"

I Had Version 2.2.2.something, now I uninstalled and installed 2.3.1.845, no change. Also deleted the database file and tried with no files in the database, same.

Could that be a problem with the ODBC, a kind of "function" for idle time? Can it be reinstalled? Installing new MM works not.

Anyone had the same problem? Just wanted to buy GOLD version, MM was superb on my laptop. But on this new system it doesn't work.

I have a AMD64 3200+, Asus A8V Board, 1 Gig RAM, Win XP prof. SP2

Node collapses always to Library

Postby Alex » Sun Feb 20, 2005 8:06 am

Sorry for my english, just found some english terms for my problem:

What I tried to explain was that the Nodes always collapse to the Node LIBRARY after a while of idle time (ca. 3 sec)

This seems to be exactly the same as F7 key does in MM. Don't you have some application running (e.g. in system tray) thay would emulate F7 key press?

Hi jiri!

Thanks for your answer. Yes, indeed, it is F7.

So:

It is NOT MEDIAMONKEYS FAULT !!!!! Sorry for that!

Seems my KVM is damaged, it actually sends F7 when idle. But only on one PC, others work...?

Anyway, not your problem.

Thanks!
Alex

PS: Time for Gold Version :-)
