Great stuff!

1) I see lots of goodies in the filename that aren't showing up in other tags. It would be great to pull from there.

2) I'd like to save the field/mask pairs across sessions so I don't have to reenter them. When I hacked a more primitive version of this before, I had dozens of masks.

3) A <Punctuation> mask field would be useful, which would include , - . / & so you didn't have to have separate entries for each. Better would be to let me edit the list so I could decide to put in things like feat.

4) Add a third arrow setting <--> to make it swap the two items.

5) What causes it to put the %X etc. values in the output when you're going <-- way?

Hi guys,

I'm following the instructions from the first page to the best of my knowledge...but I keep getting a message

"Error #450 - Microsoft VB Script runtime error
Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment:ExtractFields'
File "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\ExtractFields.vbs", Line: 1, Column: 0

When I click ok...I get another popup box with the following error:

Error happened during script execution:
Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment:ExtractFields'

The only thing I can think I'm not doing is the following, but thats only cos I'm not sure what I'm meant to be doing!!

The "USER DEFAULTS" section on top of the script contains default values that are used when the script starts. You can change this yourself.
Make sure that def_TagField contains a value mentioned in SongDataFields (bottom of the script), and that def_TagMask is a mask that can contain variables mentioned in CommonTags (bottom of the script).

Also I added the following to the script.ini


[ExtractFields]
Filename=ExtractFields.vbs
Procname=ExtractFields
Order=14
DisplayName=ExtractFields...
Description=Change Tags
Language=VBScript
ScriptType=0


The only other thing i have done differently is that I saved the ExtractFields.vbs in scripts rather than scripts/auto. But thats only cos it couldnt find it in scripts/auto

Can someone, please help....this looks like an awesome script which will do exactly what i need.

The script should be in the ...\Mediamonkey\Scripts\Auto folder and as far I know there is no Scripts.ini entry.

It should be at the bottom of the Tools -- Scripts Menu.

Look in your auto folder, is the script named ExtractFields.vbs without anything else on the end? Also look in the Scripts folder, to make sure you do not have it there also.

Checked...and checked....and there is only one version of the script and that is correctly named in the Auto Folder.

Any more ideas?? Its gotta be something obvious!!!
