Simplest way to set it up is to exit FF and start IE7.

Then go to the CNet video page and let IE install it's latest stable Flash plugin (this should be Flash 9).

After the video is running in IE7. Exit IE, restart FF, right-click the Cnet Video link and select "Open Link in IETab".

Another method that works, but not as reliably in FF, is to right-click the Tab and select "Switch Rendering Engine".

Thank you Owyn.

Unfortunately ie7 doesn't prompt me to install flash when browsing to the cnet link.
Also I think flash v10 is the stable version now.
So I'll have to search a bit to find version 9 installer.
I'm will look for installer now.

If someone knows a link to get Flash Player 9 for Internet Explorer
Please be kind and post it here.

Yep. It works now. I had posted a trouble ticket with CNet so looks like they finally got the Adobe version detect fix in.

Still had a problem with Adblock+ interfering. Centre Clicked ABP icon to temporarily disable it and video worked in FF tab. Looks like I need to take another look at my whitelist for Cnet.

Still sticking with IE7 at Flash9 as fallback for other sites that have not installed the Adobe fix. And of course, IE7 does not have the Adblock+ Firefox Add-on, so no whitelist issues either.

Had to deactivate adblock plus though. (So much ugly ads on this site without it :o )

But tomorrow.
Going to bed now.

Thx for your help owyn

Good night.

If you are using the EasyList subscription for Adblock Plus, there was a false-positive for the "faith_v2.swf" address that didn't allow the swf to initiate correctly.

That problem was fixed a while ago on the cnet.com domain ... but it didn't work for the videos on the download.com domain. I have just repaired that problem. Update the EasyList and try it again. All seems fine here now. :)

Sorry 'bout that. :(

Hey Rick. Thx a lot man. Works now indeed. :D

Btw did you stumble on this post while searching for easy list problems?
Or are you using Mediamonkey to listen to/tag your tunes?

In any case, I really appreciate the work that you and other people do...

Thanks.
Updated. Worked. Now need to review which of my whitelist items are no longer required.
