The page at http://www.mediamonkey.com/trialpay suggests a user can get MediaMonkey Gold for free by completing one offer with "100s to choose from". On accessing the page there are exactly 15 offers to choose from.

I really like Media Monkey, but this sort of scam bait&switch tactic for a marketing agency to grab my email address makes the whole experience seem shifty. I understand that this may be a 'trialpay' issue rather than directly a mediamonkey one, though it casts a very bad light on an otherwise good product. By even associating the product with such an experience the brand is damaged.

Maybe not, it looks that Trialpay filters offers according to you local area based on IP. Here is what I get when I try to use Trialpay.

I noted this from the Trialpay page:

We value your privacy and will not sell your information to anyone. See Privacy Policy

And in the privacy policy:

TrialPay does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission

So it seems its not quite as bad as you thought.
