Yes to the Lock/Unlock toolbar, however I'm using Right Click for Scripts -with buttons by Oenonymous for adding icons.

No need for more.

Yes! Strongly agree. Clicking on the icon would then immediately start playback of the associated playlist/node/etc.

Customising toolbars is great IF you can export the customisation to a file, save it, and reload it.

I have 5 computers and 5 users in my family, and rebuilding toolbar customisations for each user in some apps gets REALLY tedious when a machine OS needs to be reinstalled. I just want to get things set up the way I want, save a definition file. and then load the same file for each user.

Even nicer would be "layered" customisations (shared/personal) where the system admin can set a default customisation that's automatically applied for each user, but the user can override, but that's probably getting a bit over-advanced.

+1 to the locking of toolbars, that's the whole reason I found this thread in google ;p

I keep accidentally displacing them and it takes ages trying to reposition them.

They always seem to jump to where you least want them :(

Customizing toolbars is added in version 3.1 now available in the beta testing section, it is in RC state and going to be officially released soon.

Well, currently in MM 3.1.1 most likely no, as new features involves new playable customization gadgets, hints, descriptions, localizations, regression risk, bugs, ... But more things like this can be expected in next beta cycle.

Toolbar Customization in 3.1 was added later in Beta Cycle and it is made to be STABLE for first iteration. There is very different points/aspects of implementation and user experience. For example I really like how Firefox Solved that and Single dialog with all possible toolbar icons and you D&D them to anchor points in available toolbars, Office '07 has done good job also, but for example I do not like how IE8 make toolbar customization.

Peke,

Understood for this release. Where would I let the devs know that I'm for this particular change for the next beta?

I don't use Firefox, so I don't know what "toolbar support like in Firefox" means, so I can't vote for or against!

For future polls, I would ask for simple explanations of what the proposed feature will provide. I'm sure many MM users are, like me, music lovers but not computer experts.
