Thanks. I have seen that occur on my ZEN as log ago as 1206.

Same here.

Same here, though (sadly) I have more serious MM-ZEN sync failure to worry about.
chrisjj wrote:> If this reformat doesn't fix it, I am heading back to 1240.
I have found that reformat always fixes the particular instance - by virtue of erasing it!- and since this failure mode is low-probability, resync usually recovers. BUT this IME of course does not fix the actual failure mode and it can just as likely recur. Please do keep us posted!

Sympathies. Such would be a death for this DJ, so I have three ZENs and sync in a round-robin, so Ialways have backup's 1 and 2.

Not only is it syncing my playlist names in truncated form, but it is verrrrrry slow and it locks up the transition to the next playing song if MM is not the focus. What changed in syncing between 1240 and 1242?

This one is kind of strange because there weren't any changes made to synchronization functionality between 1240 and 1242.
Can you confirm a couple of things?
1) Are you using the USB Mass Storage plugin (rather than the wmdm plugin)?
rusty wrote:2) When you say, "it is verrrrrry slow and it locks up the transition to the next playing song if MM is not the focus", can you elaborate re. what you mean? What operations are slow? What specifically happens at song transitions if MM isn't in focus?
