My MediaMonkey is skipping every single type of media I try to play in it. The title of the song just goes grey and tries to skip onto the next song, but it just keeps going.
Everything plays fine in Windows Media Player, so I'm not sure what's wrong with MediaMonkey.

Me too. I had to reinstall Windows and after adding all media, it won't play anything. I cannot figure this out since it played everything this morning. I have checked permissions and everything seems good. I have no idea, very frustrating.

dazz4c try reinstalling monkey and see if the bad skipping stops then.
antiduplicity sounds like you might need to find the fix for the hard drive id. as you changed that when you reinstalled windows. so look for the script by bex to repair the drive id.
both of you let us know if that works

Re: MediaMonkey skips all media...
I had a thought after I posted and uninstalled my audio driver and reinstalled and the skipping stopped and all is good, so I must guess that Mediamonkey had a problem with my audio driver. All is well now
Re: MediaMonkey skips all media...
Ah! Reinstalling sound drivers worked, I remember uninstalling a voice-changer yesterday which had it's own audio drivers.
Why does it do that? :|

most media players will check for all the codecs you have that it can use. sometimes removing one after it found it makes it cause an error. not sure if that was what monkey did but it sounds like it to me.Dazz4C wrote:Ah!
