PlayAlbum 1.2 [MM3] 2009-09-06

Post by onenonymous »

This is a simple script to add a set of "Play Album" menu items to the right click menus. When you right click on one or more tracks, there's now a menu item "Play Album" with 4 sub-menus:
Album - Play Now (Adds all tracks from the album of all selected tracks to the Now Playing List and starts playing them now)
Album - Play Next (Adds all tracks from the albums of the selected tracks to the Now Playing List to play next)
Album - Play Last (Adds all tracks from the albums of the selected tracks to the end of the Now Playing List
Album - Play After Current Album (Adds all tracks from the albums of the selected tracks to the Now Playing List to play after the currently playing album)
Album - Clear and Queue Next (Clears the Now Playing List and queues all songs from the selected album(s)))

To use:
-Download the mmip installer from the link below and run it
-Find the new functionality from the right-click menus on tracks or a node in the tree

Version 1.2 Sept. 6, 2009 Installer for v 1.2
- Added menu to the Play Menu in the main toolbar
- Added feature to sort results by Album Name, then Disk #, then Track #

Version 1.1 May 23, 2009 Installer for v 1.1
- Added option to queue up album(s) after the currently playing album.
- Fixed code for when you run the script off a node in the tree. Previous version only queued up the album for the first song in the track window. Now it will queue up albums for all songs under the selected node.

Version 1.0 May 17, 2009 Installer for v 1.0
- Initial release of script

Cool. Thanks Onenonymous.
Very useful. No more need to display MonkeyRok only to do this! :)

Thanks, this script will be really useful. I'm not sure how easy this would be, but would it be possible to add an "play after current album is finished" option? I usually use AutoAlbumDJ, so there isn't always a complete album in Now Playing...

Script is updated

Version 1.1 May 23, 2009 Installer for v 1.1
- Added option to queue up album(s) after the currently playing album.
- Fixed code for when you run the script off a node in the tree. Previous version only queued up the album for the first song in the track window. Now it will queue up albums for all songs under the selected node.

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in Trix's AutoAlbumDJ thread, but..

I wondering to the possibility to shuffle albums. As in, a button or hotkey is pressed, and MM skips to the first track of a random album (or perhaps a random track 1 in nowplaying) and then proceeds to play the album tracks sequentially. Is this at all possible?

Don't look further. Just activate shuffle.

Does anyone have another download location for this script? MediaFire just keeps giving Javascript errors for this file. (IE7 and FF3.5)

Would be much appreciated.

The MediaFire link started working so got the script.

Question though: whenever I add an album it adds the tracks in alphabetical order, is there any way of forcing it to use Track # order?
