Build 1287 no longer remembers sort order [#6154]
Hello,
I just noticed that Build 1287 no longer remembers the sort order when leaving the library node and then going back to it. I clicked on "Album Artist", then I CTRL-clicked on the following column headers: "Date", "Album", and "Track #". When I left the library node for the now playing node and went back to the library node, the list was no longer sorted by those 4 columns. Sorting was working properly in Build 1286. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.

Re: Build 1287 no longer remembers sort order [#6154]
Not reproduced here. Tested with Album and Artist nodes. Maybe it is related only to some types of nodes?
Re: Build 1287 no longer remembers sort order [#6154]
Just retested. Confirmed as follows.
Location->Some folder (which happened to have a collection of files from multiple albums)
Click(AlbumArtist)+Ctrl-Click(Album)
Click icon to go to Now Playing
Click Icon to return to Previous
Sort Order gone.

Re: Build 1287 no longer remembers sort order [#6154]
using 1288 but still experiencing this issue
i set the option "show links in the songlist" to "archive".
so when i click the link to an artist, it shows the tracks but forgets my sorting order.

I have that option set to "Library" and do not see "Archive" in the drop-down of values for the option.
Edit: Hmmm. Are you using a non-english version of MM?

i'm using the german one.
library should be the correct translation
sorry
Re: Build 1287 no longer remembers sort order [#6154]
schoerki222,
I can't reproduce the bug either using the Library links. Whenever I click a link, MM switches to the related node (using the sort order associated with the related node).
Can you give step by step instructions re. how to reproduce?
Thanks.

Re: Build 1287 no longer remembers sort order [#6154]
Could not reproduce either. Results as Rusty said.
e.g.
In Now Playing.
Switch to Artist(Bob Dylan)
Currently unsorted. Set Artist+Title as sort order for Artist nodes.
Return to Now Playing.
Switch to Artist(Bob Dylan).
Sort order maintained.
Return to Now Playing.
Switch to Artist(Ray Charles)
New data, but, sort order (Artist+Title) still in effect.

Re: Build 1287 no longer remembers sort order [#6154]
well, i'm able to reproduce this on 2 different MM installations (both build 1288, one german, one english language )
here is my step by step instruction:
1) just picking one artist from the artists in the library node
2) sorting ctrl-clicking on played # and title
3) playlists node, last played playlist
4) select a track from the playlist and click on the artist link
5) all tracks from that artist in that library are shown, but the sorting order is away
hope you know what i mean

Re: Build 1287 no longer remembers sort order [#6154]
Could not reproduce problem but could reproduce symptom by, e.g.:
Switch to AlbumArtist(Bob Dylan)
instead of
Switch to Artist(Bob Dylan)
Switch to AlbumArtist(Bob Dylan)
instead of
Switch to Artist(Bob Dylan)

i tried with now playing and it worked for me tooOwyn wrote:Could not reproduce either. Results as Rusty said.

New data, but, sort order (Artist+Title) still in effect.
then i tried the same using a playlist (like last 50 tracks played etc.) and the sorting was gone
