Smart playlists (from iTunes) are getting deleted

Post by projectfallback »

and I would rather they didn't.

I have the box ticked: Delete Tracks that aren't on the Auto-Sync list from the device
And my excludes are: *.mp4, Smart*.pla

I didn't add those, it was just always there. However the smart playlists created in iTunes are getting deleted when I auto-sync,
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, happy to offer more information if need but I can't think of anything else to add that will help right now.

Thanks

EDIT: This is the first time I've tried using Smart Playlists, I made them in iTunes, then when I opened up MM it auto-synced and they disappeared (I know they made it onto the iPod, I played them)

noone can help!?

well i really searched hours to find a solution in the forum and the support. the only one i found is to change the settings to *.pla.
if i do that the smart playlists wont be deleted from auto-sync. so why is that?

i really appreciate a professional answer from the developers

What exactly are you asking? It sounds like you already found the answer, exclude "*.pla" from the deletion list.

Won't work with you but with other users? You are saying it works for other users but not for you?

i assumed that the default settings work for others and i did not found any threads, post about the default settings not working...
and the user above, projectfallback, mentioned my problem but he corrected that the smart playlist wont be deleted anymore
so i assume that he did not change the default settings... and they work fine...

so if the problem affect other users then i am glad that i could contribute a solution for this problem... and if the problem occurs to more users then i suggest changing the default settings to prevent any circumstances.
and i'm sorry if you feeled offended by my previous posts

Not offended, just confused. But if everything is solved then I guess we are finished here!
