Which languages will be included in MM 2.5 final install?

Post by Gervasio Antonio »

Hi,

I just wanna know which languages will be included in MM 2.5 installation pack, when it gets final.

I have made a Brazilian Portuguese translation for MM 2.4, but it is availabe only in a separate pack. It will be great to see it included directly in instalation pack...

Additionally, I tested my 2.4 translation in 2.5 alpha. In current stage there's only a few additional strings to translate (mostly concerning Party Mode).
It seems that it will be a fast work updating translation to 2.5...

Cheers

Languages bundled with MM

Post by rusty »

Gervasio,

We haven't made any decision re. what languages to include with the installer. In the past the decision was made based on which countries most often downloaded MM and/or the language packs.

This is kind of self-fulfilling, but it's probably the only reasonable approach to prevent MM from adding another GB to its download size.

As beta1 has been released and new features are almost ready, when do you plan 2.5 localization to start?

Well, you can chack off the Dutch translation; I'll be happy to do it again!
Best regards,

Hiroyasu Ishikawa and I will work on Japanese. He has about 2/3 finished, and I am just kind of proof reading for him.
