MM will not open mm.db

Post by m185945 »

I have configured my Windows 7 system in a non-standard way meaning that my Windows profile is on my secondary drive. This configuration works for all applications except MM. Actually, that's not true. MM was working in this non-standard way until I rebuilt my Win7 system. Regardless, here's what happens. My MM folder is stored here:
U:\Users\userID\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey. My non-standard system has no C:\users profile, but the registry is configured to redirect all user profiles to U:\users. Like I said, this works for all other apps. When I start MM for the first time, it creates C:\Users\userID\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\mm.db, but it's empty. If I double-click on U:\Users\userID\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\mm.db then MM still uses the empty C:\Users\userID\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\mm.db. This is not an issue with my media library. My media library is on a server so it has not moved. I just can't get MM to use my 98 megabyte MM.DB.

Try: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... ticleid=46

I wonder if there is a bug that MediaMonkey uses hardcoded path?
