Re: MonkeyFlow 1.2.1 [MM3]
I'm running into a problem with Monkeyflow. When I first turn on my PC it runs great, but after a while it gets slower and choppier. Even exiting MediaMonkey and starting it up again doesn't fix the problem. I have updated my NVidia drivers, ended nearly every running task, yet it is still choppy. If I restart my PC, it runs fine again. Any suggestions?

Re: MonkeyFlow 1.2.1 [MM3]
Hi,
Having the same problem described a page or two ago.
Cleaned the TEMP directory to free a lot of space, now MonkeyFlow won't even start. When starting MM, winviz.exe and Monkeyflow.exe start only for a second and then immediately shut down. Tried reinstalling MM and MonkeyFlow completely, changing location of the TEMP folder - nothing worked. It even won't create the log file when I start it...
Running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit.

I had the same problem after I installed the latest update and cleared my temp directory... MF would not launch or I got the could not connect message (don't remember now)Guest wrote:Hi,

But what I discovered was that I needed to remove the [MonkeyFlow] section from my MediaMonkey.ini and restart MM.
I think some conflict with the working directory I had set in the MediaMonkey.ini and the default set in the MF application... really I am not sure but I managed to solve the problem.
Give it a try... it can't hurt.
Cheers

Removing the [MonkeyFlow] section out of MediaMonkey.ini didn't work for me, I'm sorry to say. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Re: MonkeyFlow 1.2.1 [MM3]
One thing: I noticed that while MonkeyFlow successfully unpacked itself into the Temp directory, it did not add the [MonkeyFlow] section in the MediaMonkey.ini. And it didn't write a monkeyflow.log either. Does that help anyone narrow down the cause of the problem?

Appearance in Context Menu?
Hi,
I'm wondering if Appearance was removed from the context menu. A previous version had it and I loved being able to customize the look of MF. But I just reinstalled as I got a new computer and now it's not there. The context menu is:
Sort by
Colors
Settings
Under settings I can only change Anti-Alias, Power Save, and Show Caption.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: MonkeyFlow 1.2.1 [MM3]
My MonkeyFlow stopped working a while ago and I had no idea why but it could very well have coincided with when I started using spybot. It's really odd that this causes a problem, I suppose just uninstalling spybot has been tried? Don't really feel like reinstalling my whole operating system so going to wait and see if a fix appears.barkoz wrote:Bib SaidSame here, I have been scanning with Spybot without any problems for years and yesterday changed the File Sets (In the main window from 'Spyware check only' to Select All Available Checks' scanned and now no Monkey Flow. Even attempting to recover (via Spybot recovery) didn't get it going. Tried re-installing video card... no go. I can't think of anything else i even tried a system file check but nothing was wrong there.I ve the same problem, My Coverflows worked well and today I have lauched spybot And now Monkeyflow doesn't work.
It's killing me. I won't sleep till it's going again. LOL

I used to have the same problem after runing spybot. If I remember it right, it worked again after I deleted all files and folders in the temp folder. Spybot didn't delete it all, there were still some files and folders left and monkeyflow wasn't kind of able to create new files in those folders. Maybe that makes sense and will help you. Otherwise I'll try and reproduce the problem tomorrow or friday and may be able to help then (or again go insane - haha).BenChen71 wrote:One thing: I noticed that while MonkeyFlow successfully unpacked itself into the Temp directory, it did not add the [MonkeyFlow] section in the MediaMonkey.ini. Deleted every file and folder inside, and it started to work again.
Thanks.

Regarding MonkeyFlow ceasing to work after doing a Spybot "clean" of the Temp directory:
I can confirm that deleting all files and folders in the Temp folder worked. However, I don't think that should be necessary. After successfully running MonkeyFlow, I noted that the folders that were generated were:

Excellent, can't wait to get home and try this out. I've missed my MonkeyFlowBenChen71 wrote:Regarding MonkeyFlow ceasing to work after doing a Spybot "clean" of the Temp directory:

I am guessing that if you delete just those, MonkeyFlow should successfully re-generate itself.

Re: MonkeyFlow 1.2.1 [MM3]
