It sounds like you need to register your dll.

a. Open command prompt by typing cmd.exe into start menu.
b. right-click on the command prompt shortcut and select "Run as administrator"
c. Input this command: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\XZip.dll"

Hopefully that solves your problem. But post back if it doesn't.

I'm having it output to ZIP and I'm not getting the database added to the ZIP. During creation the temp folder created for the ZIP file does include the database file, but the ZIP itself doesn't. Am I doing something wrong?

That's strange, very strange! It works fine for me, it's definitely there in both my zip files. Especially strange as it is making it's way into the temporary folder. All I can think is permissions, but why would it only affect that one file, and if it's got permission to copy the file there then how could it not have permission to copy it into a zip? I'm sorry but I'm baffled.

Could size be an issue? My DB is currently 890MB which results in 165MB zipped.

I gave everyone full rights on the DB and modify rights on the backup folder (on WinServer 2003) and still a no go. DB is on a different drive than MediaMonkey install, but backup is created in a subfolder of where the DB is located.

Yeah, I guess so - the one I use for testing around 46Mb so I've certainly never tested it with that size. I've just looked at the zip component I'm using does have the following known issue...

This component was not designed to work with huge archives. Max archive size depends on the amount of available RAM.

Got a 4-core CPU with 8GB of RAM with at least 500GB free on both the Windows drive and the drive the DB and backup are on.

I don't doubt your hardware, I just think the component is limited. I can research other ones but I think the chances of finding a better one for free is unlikely, unfortunately.

Holy crap! My database is much smaller than yours is. You've made me insecure about the size of my db.
You know that size doesn't matter, right?

@Trixmoto: No worries then. I will have to set it to folder backup instead. Especially due to space saving I was hoping to Zip things, but at least I do have the space available right now.

@gpzbc: Lyrics fill things up quickly.

Am I right that only the ZIP files can be auto-deleted? As I can't use ZIP due to DB size I'd like to have the folders also auto-deleted so I can keep only the x most recent backups.
