ripping to FLAC

Post by g725s »

Newbie Question: Will Media Monkey rip your CD to FLAC or do you have to rip it FLAC first with another program?

Thanks for your reply. Ok if you don't mind, can you then also convert the FLAC to MP3 with MM or do you need to use other software?

MM can convert to mp3 in batch format but the gold version has more functionality.

If you've been using WMP saving your ripped CDs to WMA Lossless and WAV, can you convert those WMA Lossless and WAV files to FLAC retaining all the metadata and put those into MM?

And if you do have all your music as FLAC in Media Monkey. If you need to move your collection to another drive, how is this done exactly? Are there files that should be backed-up on a regular basis so as to not lose your collection?
