Ummm. I am brain farting on that. Will probably make more sense later.

What I expected was that what was working before kept working. And, as far as I can see, it is.

Are you saying you'd prefer there to be two separate options, one to control deletion of output paths and one to control the deletion of archives?

Yes this is what I would prefer, that way I can keep deleting the archives while not deleting any output path backup files.

@nynaevelan - well that'll be much more complicated, but I can see why you might want this - I'll see what I can do in the next version.

@Owyn - I've still never had this, and odd it should always be 774 as this is when deleting the "plugins" folder.

I will try to remember to take a good look with Process Explorer and Process Monitor the next time this happens.

I didn't have 5.3 mmip for some reason, so reinstalled 5.2. Just ran a backup and worked like a charm. If you still need me to use 5.3, you'll have to help me find it. I have the latest MM version running with Vista.

You can get it on this page: http://trixmoto.net/mm/older.php?f=Backup
Awaiting for 10160 & 10168 to be fixed/implemented before thinking of moving to MMW4.1 + MMA.

Mizery_Made; Thank you.

Installed 5.3. Works fine. Uninstalled 5.3 and reinstalled 5.4. It works, meaning the window pops up, if I use Tools>Scripts>Backup or if I click on the Backup icon in the toolbar. Will not work if I Right Click for Scripts or if I click on the icon in toolbar that displays scripts.

So we are halfway there. I have closed and reopened MM three times.

FWIW, Backup 5.4 script starts fine via RCFS on my system.

Same here before I reverted back to 5.3 and I use backup from the toolbar icon I created with RC4S.

Hello, I also just began (after the latest MM update?) receiving the error message you mentioned (reproduced below):

When I close MM 3.x
windows script host error
x86\mm\scripts\abackup2.vbs
line 58
char 7
permission denied
800a0046
microsoft vbscript runtime error

OS - Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Web blocking - Spybot Search and Destroy
Anti Virus - Avast (the free version)

I have searched around for areas in my anti malware to exclude MM, but that has not worked.
I used the CMD suggestions to allow what is listed in the knowledge base, but that has not worked.
I now have MM running as the administrator.
By the way, I have always had script error messages when running supercool trixmoto scripts. I just became used to clicking the ignore on every song I was modifying. I know, this could be corrected by reading the corrections here. Anyway...

I continue to search the forum for more information and suggestions.

My Questions:
Can I use the same CMD procedure/suggestions mentioned for the *.dll's, but type in the "abackup2.vbs"? If I could, then that might also solve my other scripting errors too, no?

Thanks.

Spybot Search & Destroy / Iobit Anti Malware

I love the Monkey and the forum.
Thanks to all who provide advice, assistance, add ons and scripts. It is very much appreciated!

trixmoto wrote:Yeah, I guess so - the one I use for testing around 46Mb so I've certainly never tested it with that size. I've just looked at the zip component I'm using does have the following known issue...

This component was not designed to work with huge archives. Max archive size depends on the amount of available RAM.

Is there a known maximum size for the zip? My database is currently about 350MB(81MB zipped) and has grown about 10% in the last month (lyrics, etc.).

No, I don't know what the limit is, I've not got a library big enough to test this! :)

800MB is too big.
