They don't automaticly show up in the 'Tracks with same content' node? When I use the query of the pic, I only find Even Flow as a duplicate. Alive doesn't show up.

Only go for same Custom5 and also select Excl Unkown Custom5, and you should find what you want!

I did that, and only Even Flow is showing up as a duplicate. I don't get why Alive doesn't show up, the files are not that different from eachother.

Do you mean that they have the same PUID value in Custom5?

I"m itching to use your product, but the bottom of the "Custom Duplicate Search" popup window cuts off (or is hidden, or is out-of-view) below the "VBR/CBR" line, and is not resizeable or scrollable. I can see the entire frame of the window (all 4 sides) if i drag it a short ways to the top of the screen. And I can tab through the hidden elements (using my keyboard's "Tab" key), but I can't see what's selected below the cutoff, including "Bitrate" and any of the action buttons I see on your screenshot above. I want to keep the highest-bitrate duplicates and I don't see any other way than through this popup window.

So far no other prob's.

I had a random prob like the years ago with some other product, and it was corrected by installing a new font (that the program was written to use, but wasn't on my XP) so my XP didn't substitue its own larger, differently-formatted font, but I'd need to know which font to install to use that fix here.

Help a noob out? Thank you, thank you! I make great hot cocoa & am willing share.

Hi flybob,

To reduce the size of the form in "Custom Duplicate Search" and "Find More from Same", you can remove fields you don't use in the options.

No, that's not what I meant. The PUID values differ. I'm just surprised that a song that looks almost the same doesn't get the same PUID value. I guess it can't be helped. Thanks for the support Bex!

No there's not much one can do, it's in the hands of MusicIP.

This is awesome!! Thanks so much!!

One HUGEEEEE feature that I would love and haven't figured out how to do yet would be to batch copy over any meta data (tags) from the non-keep dups group to the keep group. Just like how you can automatically merge playlists, play counts, and ratings, I would also like to paste over for example an Album title if the good "keep" version of the file is blank in the Album tag.

For example I have File 1: Don't Stop Believing by Journey with a bitrate of 250 and File 2: Don't Stop Believing by Journey with a bitrate of 128. So the script selects to keep File #1 because of the higher bitrate.

That is all fine and dandy except file #1 has the Album tag empty while File #2 has the correct album "Escape".

I would like to be able to copy any meta data (tags) that I pre-select from the non-keep dups file grouping to the good "Keep" files if those corresponding tags are blank in the "Keep" group. It seems like a mixture of the already implemented automatic merging of play count and ratings and the Copy/Paste metadata functions except for I want the Copy/Paste metadata function to be able to be done automatically batch style for the entire set of duplicates. Basically add the Copy/Past metadata functionality to the merging of play count, ratings, and playlists fuction already built in.

I hope this makes sense and would love any help on this. Maybe I can try and custom edit the script, or maybe you can already do this and I just don't know how.

Thanks in advance for any help and THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS AWESOME SCRIPT!!

Thank you, Shawn!

The problem with implementing what you are asking for is that many dupes can exist in the delete-node, for each single dupe you want to keep in the keep-node. I.e you have a ManyToOne-situation in which it isn't suitable to merge tags. e.g. What to do if you have three non-keep tracks all with three different genres/track#/AlbumName/etc?

One thing that you can do is to limit the search result to only display group nodes with TrackCount=2, then after you have split them up one delete-node and one keep-node, you can use Copy/Paste metadata since the tracks are sorted in the nodes so they correspond to each other. The rest with TrackCount>2, needs to be taken care of manually.

Hi there, I have a problem with the "Custom Duplicate Search" and the "Configure AutoSearches" windows being too long for my monitor and I can't resize them. If I drag the windows up as far as I can, then with "Custom Duplicate Search" I can just see VBR/CBR - with "Configure AutoSearches" I can't see past Date Added. Is there a fix for this? Cheers.
