Hi,
Question for the knowledgable. A few months ago I Analyzed Volume, and then decided to Level Track Volume. I did it using the most current version of MM(3.2.1.1297) with the default of 89db. Also checked avoid clipping. Leveled tracks per a track as well. For the most part I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Though, I've noticed on my Android phone its just a tad quieter than I like, along with my HT, garage radio. Not enough to be worried or bummed out about, I can live with it just fine.
Is it possible to re do the volume to a slightly higher level after its been done once? If so is 90db plenty to start with(to help avoid running in to MM using the avoid clipping protection)? I imagine it doesn't take a lot to get real loud or real quiet.
My fiance thinks the songs somehow lost a litle bit of the low bass, and highs after doing it. I am not really sure myself. Its not enough to really bother me I guess. As I told her from what I read on here is that the file/data its self doesn't get changed, just the listening volume. Though, I would think if MM detected clipping, it might suppress some of the highs/lows to avoid clipping?
Either way were still pretty happy with doing it. Its nice to not have to touch the volume control all the time.
TIA,
-Scott
