I have also tried to get the iPod Nano 6G to work. No luck either. Though MediaMonkey does detect the Nano 6G and can even copy audio files to it, the mp3's will not play after the Nano is disconnected. The stupid thing is completely oblivious of all copied files.

Has anyone alse managed to get either of these iPods to work?

MM didn't add support for these new devices yet. They were just released.

I just got an IPod shuffle 4G. Any idea when MM might work with it?

It partially works. You can sync songs to it, but it will not do playlists and the voice over won't work properly to announce songs. I'm using it now.

i have an 80gb ipod and a MM library of 156gb. When i sync my ipod, i get a random assortment of songs from my library. i turned off the "select randomly" option while configuring. how can i get the music that syncs to be as many full albums as possible (like A-M for example)? thanks

Hey there... So the other day my old computer's hard drive crashed, and i didn't have about 2 gigs of new music backed up, only on my ipod. I plugged my ipod into a different computer and used a program to get all my music saved to it and did so successfully, but couldn't put the music into itunes because it's sync'd with a different ipod. Now here's where it gets complicated... I want to be able to import the playlists on my ipod (and ipod only) into MM, but to do so I need an m3u file of the playlist.. which I can't get because it's not in this computer's itunes. Any idea how i can import playlists into MM without m3u files?

You can't import playlists from an iPod.

Ah alright then. I've narrowed down my problem then. Two questions. I haven't sync'd my ipod yet to MM... Will syncing my ipod delete my playlists only on the ipod?

Secondly, when my ipod's connected to MM, why can't i drag and drop songs directly into playlists under my ipod drop down lists? Is there any way to add songs to my ipod's playlists even though the playlist themselves aren't on MM?

1. Yes.

2. No. You need to create the playlists in MM and sync them.

Hi,
I have an ipod classic 120GB. I had a prob with itunes as it no longer recognises my ipod (Can't remember what I did), so I added MM. Just having some probs tho. I added around 4000 songs to the library to copy to my ipod. I left it copying, but noticed that it is short of around 800 songs. Then when I try to drag from the library to the ipod icon on the left side bar with an artists I know is missing, it does nothing. I've had this problem before. It usually means i can no longer add any new artists once i've done the big drop. This makes nooo sense to me. Can some enlightened individual please help me???
Thank you.

MM 3.2.3 has support for shuffle 4G
Seems to work OK.
I have voice over working after the sync but I do not know if this was left over from using iTunes pre MM 3.2.3
Can anyone confirm anything re: voice over and sync iPood 4G using MM 3.2.3 ?

Thanks for the guide which is very clear. Just one thing that made me loose a lot of time and I could not understand. All of my music is on a remote disk shared via Windows share. MM is on my local laptop. The share appears as the S: disk locally. I followed the guide and when syncing got a "Prearing file list" but then NOTHING happened. It was simply because the network share was not "mounted" (had to provide the userid and password in windows) et voila now everything worked as advertised ! :)
Dunno if you want to mention that in your guide.

That's not really iPod specific and also quite a specific situation that would apply to playing tracks in MM and syncing with any device, not just MM.

All of sudden with new MM install my music is not syncing with my ipod touch. Am I doing something wrong? Did I need to tweak something with the new install?
