Order of podcasts on Device wrong.

Postby antihippy » Wed Feb 09, 2011 9:36 am

Hi All,

I've been searching for something that's really irritating me.

At some point the podcasts on my iTouch (version 1) aren't displaying on the device in the correct order.

In the MM library on my pc they appear to be in one node relevant to the podcast on the device it looks completely different. The individual podcasts are displayed in the same order they appear in the RSS feed.

On the iTouch, looking at the nodes I can see that each podcast has multiple nodes each containing one or two podcasts. On the device the podcasts are not displayed in any discernible order.

I've been looking and looking and just can't seem to find anything that indicates why this should be happening.

For further information ITunes is set to ignore all music, videos and podcasts - to avoid confusion. And I only use it for firmware updates.

I'm using MM version 3.2.4.1304.

How do I sort this? It's driving me nuts.

Many thanks for any assistance rendered.

Has no one else had this problem or can at least point me in the right direction?

It really is driving me bonkers.

I'm happy to supply additional information if required.

Antihippy,

This is driving me crazy too! Everything was fine with my iPhone 4 right out of the box until I upgraded to iOS 4.2.1. I then had to upgrade MM to 3.2.4.1304 for compatibility. Now on my device all my podcasts sort by podcast title (i.e. alphabetical) rather than by release date as it should and once did. It's wickedly annoying.

I've tried deleting all the podcasts and re-synching. That didn't work. In the MM podcast tree all my podcasts sort by the release date. I've resorted to making smart sort by date playlists as a workaround, but that's just crap. You can't see the nice little blue dot indicating a podcast has been listened to or the time remaining on each podcast like in the actual podcast view in the iPod app. Arrrgh!

I cannot find any solutions on the interwebs or in these forums. I tried searching as thoroughly as possible, but to no luck. Anyone, if I've missed some critical post please point out my stupidity. I love MM and I love my podcasts. PLEASE HELP!

Cheers,
jb

Yeah, I've spent a decent amount of time looking into this and I can't find a solution. I've tried the same things to no avail.
