MMMM. You mean after you deleted the registry key and reopened Mediamonkey. It displayed correctly.
But then when you resized the now playing panel the bug occurred again. Right?

Stealthcruiser wrote:It also, ( the past few times opening it) goes through a "reading tracks" mode, which I don't recall it doing before.

That's usually caused by a long now playing queue.
Meaning there are many tracks inside the now playing panel and Mediamonkey has to "read them" every time you start the program.

Do you have many tracks in the now playing panel?
If so, right click on the now playing panel > list > clear

Restart Mediamonkey.
Does it fix the "reading tracks" issue?

Another thing you can try:

1. right click in the now playing panel > view > Show tittle-bar.
( Skip step 1. If the tittle-bar is already there )
2. Now "drag and drop" the panel by the tittle-bar to where you want it to be.

Also if you could provide a screenshot. It would really help!

NOW, when I open it, I got an ugly sound, and an "error" dialog box, that says "tell Media Monkey about it", but the "dialog box" is strobing so badly, that I can not type any info....................Will try again, and close for the night..............This is our "at work", music computer, so I'll pick up tomorrow.....................Thanks much!!!!

I'm not sure I understand your issue. Still hoping for a screenshot to see more clearly.

Ok 39 tracks is a small amount. So that's not the problem.

Is a subnode of the "My computer" node selected in your Media tree? ( the panel on the left )
Cause that could be the reason.

Stealthcruiser wrote:Herein, lies the problem, unable to select "list" , ........there are no options there, at ALL....

That's odd. I don't recall seeing this problem before.

If everything else fails, you can always try to do a clean reinstall of Mediamonkey.

[color=#FF0000]....................Per chance, is there an e-mail, I could send the screenshot file to????...............I have it saved, but I have no "photo hosting" here, ( which I guess, is what I need.....)/color]

Ok, heres a try at a "screenshot"......[color=#4000FF]FAIL!!!!
...................As you can see, I have it "back to the size", that I wish, and there are no "options" for me to choose from, at the bottom of "now playing" box.................................You'll also notice, in the lower left, where it reads the the complete library, on start up, ( something new, I think?)...................Another item of note, are the "blank spaces", in the now playing list, which evidently happened last evening, on shutdown, in conjunction with a "ugly noise", and an "error message", associated with Media Monkey, of which I forwarded to Media Monkey, ( as per the dialog box request). /color]

If everything else fails, you can always try to do a clean reinstall of Mediamonkey...............I am guessing, if I do this, I will get the latest version of same????.................................Will it be the same deal, ( version), as after the "debug" program, that I ran last evening????

What would be the difference in this, versus, restoring my computer, to an "earlier date", and would THIS action, take care of the "software interface" deletion, that I did in the registry, last evening???

to get the options back on the bottom of the now playing window just right click the now playing title bar and click on show now playing controls.

that will get the panel to show them under the list. where you can click on the edit and view links in the options.

you wan the player control buttons there also? then click the show player controls.

Depending on where you click, you may need Right click > View > Dock to window.

no i don't know about the errors. i also can't see your screenshot since i don't have a facebook account and am not getting one.

but nohitter151 seen it and told you.

if that panel for the options does not show up when you get to try doing it at work.
then you might need to clean the registry try using the free program ccleaner it has two c's in the name like that.
and it has an registry cleaner.
i say that cause after all the messing around you did it might have messed up that somewhat.

Thanks for the screenshot.

Do what nohitter said and all will be back to normal.
Your now playing panel was simply "undocked".

"BINGO", on the depending on "where you click"..................Finally found it, along with the "show title bar" option.......................All is back to normal, with the exception of things moving slowly.................I think I'll give it a try as such, rather than screwing with it anymore :o :o :o

Thanks again, all!!!
